  • Apply this to the eyelashes in the same way as mascara.
  • Leave it on overnight.

Repetitions: Regular use will improve the density and texture of the eyelashes over a period of time.

Tip: The same process can be followed with a Q-tip to apply olive oil on the base of the lashes and the skin around the lashes.

2. Olive oil and Vitamin E for Eyelashes

  • mascara wand

How to do:

  • Take a mascara wand.
  • Clean and dry the wand before use.
  • Dip the mascara wand in a mixture of olive and Vitamin E oil, mixed in 70 – 30 quantity.
  • Apply this to the eyelashes in the same way as mascara.
  • Leave it on overnight.

Repetitions: Regular use will improve the density and texture of the eyelashes over a period of time. This process can be continued in a four-week cycle for best results.

Tips and Precautions

  • Before using this treatment make sure to remove any makeup like mascara, etc. from the eyelashes and the surrounding areas.
  • Care needs to be taken to avoid excess olive oil from being applied as it can enter the eyes and cause irritation. In such a case wash off the eyes with water repeatedly till the irritation goes away.
  • The grade of olive oil used is of utmost importance. Special grade or cosmetic grade olive oil must be used for eyelashes. Using food grade olive oil could result in more harm than good.
  • If olive oil has never been used before it is always recommended to do a patch test before using it on the eyelashes. If you find your skin to be reacting to the olive oil in the patch test then do not use it any further.
  • Avoid any contact with external factors while treating eyelashes with olive oil. Ensure this is done just before going to bed.
