Simple Homemade Body Scrubs for Cellulite

1. Coconut oil and Sugar Scrub

Ingredients:

  • Coconut oil- 6 tbsp
  • Sugar- 3 tbsp

Process of using: Mix the above ingredients and massage on the skin in a circular motion for about 5 minutes and then wash with warm water.

Benefits: Sugar exfoliates the skin and coconut keeps the moisture of the skin intact.

2. Baking Soda and Wheat Barn Scrub

Ingredients:

Process of using:

  • Combine the above ingredients and add some water to make a smooth paste.
  • This needs to be massaged on the areas with cellulite for about 15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

Benefits: Baking soda enhances blood circulation and thus decreases the appearance of cellulite. The wheat barn has anti-oxidants, selenium and vitamin E and B which prevents ageing signs.

3. Sea Salt and Brown Sugar Scrub

Ingredients:

Process of using:

  • Combine the above ingredients in a bowl and apply them to the body.
  • You can massage using a loofah in a circular motion and leave it for 10 minutes before washing it in warm water.

Benefits: Brown sugar fights cellulite, stretch marks and acne as well. The body scrub moisturizes the skin besides brightens it. The puckered appearance of the skin is reduced by the use of sea salt.

4. Coffee and Olive oil Scrub

Ingredients:

  • Coffee-1/4 cup
  • Olive oil– 2 tbsp
  • Hot water- 3 tbsp

Process of using:

  • Mix the above ingredients to prepare the scrub, and leave for 10 minutes so the water is absorbed by the coffee.
  • Then, apply it to the target areas and massage for 5-10 minutes in a circular motion before rinsing with warm water.

Benefits: Coffee has caffeine which dilates the blood vessels and enhances blood circulation. It also has antioxidants which effectively reduce cellulite.

5. Aloe Vera and Grapefruit Scrub

Ingredients:

  • Aloe vera gel- From one aloe vera leaf
  • Grapefruit oil- 2 tbsp

Process of using: Mix the above ingredients to create a scrub which has to be massaged on the target areas and rinsed off in 10 minutes.

Benefits: Aloe vera has anti-cellulite properties as it tightens the skin and reduces inflammation. Grapefruit oil has anti-inflammatory enzymes and proteolytic which prevent the formation of fat cells.

Cellulites prevent you from wearing certain kinds of outfits but using the body scrubs along with workouts and healthy eating habits can help in preventing their appearance.
