Body Shape Types:

  • Hourglass: Shoulders and hips similar, significantly smaller waist
  • Pear: Hips larger than shoulders, defined waist
  • Rectangle: Similar measurements throughout, minimal waist definition
  • Apple: Larger upper body, less defined waist
  • Inverted Triangle: Broader shoulders, narrower hips

Measuring Tips:

  • Use a soft measuring tape
  • Measure against bare skin or light clothing
  • Keep the tape parallel to the floor
  • Don't pull the tape too tight
  • Measure at the fullest part of each area
